Free DB diagram tool
Paste SQL CREATE TABLE statements or DBML and watch the entity relationship diagram draw itself. Drag tables, link columns, and keep every diagram in your account.
What it does
Reads your SQL
Scripts from pg_dump, mysqldump, SQL Server and SQLite, with schemas, quoted names and keys added later by ALTER TABLE. Views, indexes and inserts are skipped.
DBML too
Write Table { } and Ref: in DBML instead of SQL. The diagram comes out the same.
Lays itself out
Each table sits beside the tables it references, ordered so lines rarely cross. Drag any card to move it.
Draw a relation
Link a column to another table's key on the canvas, and the foreign key is written into your script.
How to make a database diagram
Paste your schema.
Copy CREATE TABLE statements from a dump or a migration, or write DBML.
Watch it draw.
The diagram follows as you type, and a mistake is pointed out instead of breaking the page.
Arrange it and keep it.
Drag tables where you want them. Signed in, the script and the positions save on their own.
DB diagram questions
Is the DB diagram tool free?
Yes. Drawing, editing and saving diagrams cost nothing. A free account keeps them for you.
Which databases does it understand?
DDL from PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB, SQL Server and SQLite, plus DBML.
Is my schema uploaded?
The diagram is drawn in your browser. When you save, the script and the table positions are stored in your account so you can open them again.
Why do I need an account?
So every diagram autosaves and is there when you come back, next to the CV and PDF tools in one dashboard.
